The Ashmolean is home to some of the finest Ancient Egyptian and Nubian Collections in the country, with the Predynastic and Protodynastic material amongst the most significant in the world. Following the major development of these galleries at the end of 2011, Liam McNamara, Assistant Keeper for Egypt and Sudan, will give us a lecture on the Egyptian Collection as well as discussing the galleries' redevelopment. This will be followed by a guided tour, and tea and cake.

This event has been organised by a local supporter help group to raise money for the Art Fund.
