The Great Hall at the Apothecaries' Hall
The original Apothecaries’ Hall dated from the mid-17th century and, like the Vintners’ Hall, had to be rebuilt following the Great Fire of London. The new building included an ‘elaboratory’ for the first-ever large-scale manufacture of drugs. It is the oldest extant livery company Hall in the city and houses many fine paintings, items of furniture and period apothecary jars.
The visit on 1 November is between 11am-1pm, and 2-4pm on the 29 November.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
