On the outskirts of Newbury lies Shaw House - an Elizabethan Manor house built in 1581 for Thomas Dolman, a wealthy cloth merchant. The house has been extensively restored and although no furniture remains, the house has a fascinating history, containing various exhibitions exploring the history and the lives of the people who lived there. There will be an opportunity to view the Bronze Age Crow Down Hoard, which was purchased with an Art Fund grant. Tea and cake will be served, and there is a gift shop.

This event has been organised by a local supporter help group to raise money for the Art Fund.
