From Dr Mirabilis 13th century work in alchemy, through to the modern development of penicillin and anaesthetics, Oxford University's study of science has not ceased. The University's medical science school maintains its international recognition for outstanding research and teaching, whilst its science parks and technology companies have continued to grow. On our visit we will look at some of the most exciting scientific discoveries made over the last 900 years, and why the founding members of the Royal Society chose to begin their work here.
Please note that there are two different time slots available. Please select 10.30am or 2.30pm when booking.
This event has been organised by a local supporter help group to raise money for the Art Fund.
