This year the Derbyshire regional members will hosting the Christmas Lunch at Renishaw Hall, Near Sheffield. The visit will include a traditional Christmas Lunch, a tour of the House followed by Mulled Wine and mince pies.
Renishaw Hall was the home of Sir Reresby and Lady Sitwell and was described by Rex Whistler as 'the most exciting place he knew'. It has been the seat of the Sitwells for centuries; perhaps best known members of the family were the famous literary trio of Osbert, Edith and Sacheverell. As well as their own literary achievements, they patronised many artists and musicians including John Piper and William Walton.
