- The Menuhin Hall |
- Lecture |
- Wednesday 16 November 2011 - 10:00 until 13:00
George III is unjustly remembered primarily as being mad and losing the American colonies. A discerning art collector, committed family man and great enthusiast of architecture, he made Windsor Castle habitable again and added the future Buckingham Palace to the royal residences.
This lecture will discuss his life and family, his patronage of the arts and his relationship with North America and the Americans.
