Join us for an illustrated lecture titled The Role of the Conservator and Restorer and Restorer of Paintings, in which the speaker Stewart Mesh distinguishes between conservation and restoration. The talk will include specific case studies of conservation and restoration work on paintings and there will be examples of how the museum and gallery conservator/restorer plays a part in the running of the institution. Stewart is a Stratford-based Conservator-Restorer with more than 40 years' experience. He is Honorary Paintings Conservator to Warwick University and has conserved paintings at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Barber Institute.
Afternoon tea will be served on arrival. Parking is available next to the church.
