A combined tour of the Hepworth Wakefield and the Yorkshire Sculptue Park. Located on the edge of the River Calder and designed by David Chipperfield Architects, The Hepwoth Wakefield is one of the largest purpose built galleries outside London. A highlight of the Gallery is 40 previously unseen sculpture by Barbara Hepworth, gifted by 'Art in Yorkshire'. After an introductory talk there will be time to appreciate the gallery further.
Moving on to the second of the locations is the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, an international centre for modern and contemporary art. Alongside more than 60 sculptures in the open air, current exhibitions include the first major modern exhibition by the Spanish Artist Jaume Plensa.
