A Church Crawl of North Buckinghamshire Churches. The tour will be led by the Historian, Julia Hunt. Julia is also the author of 'Buckinghamshire's Favourite Churches'. The Churches chosen for this tour include the early Saxon Church of All Saints, Wing, The Norman Church of St Michael's at Stewkley.
After a break for lunchthe tour continues with the Perpendicular Gothic Church of All Saints, Hillesden which was rebuilt circa 1500. Then on to Holy Trinity, Gawcott - an early 19th century Church built in the Classical style. Concluding with Peter & Paul, Buckingham. Built as a preaching house in the 18th century, it was then 'Gothicised' and enlarged in the mid 19th century by George Gilbert-Scott.
