- Tuesday, 6 September 2011 - 10:00 until 16:00
The house at Deene Park grew over six centuries from a substantial medieval manor and is now a Tudor and Georgian mansion facing south across the park and lake. The house has been owned by the Brudenell Family since 1514 and today is the home of Mr Edmund and the Hon. Mrs Brudenell.
We will have a tour of the house in small groups before lunch, which has been arranged in the Old Kitchen Restaurant. In the afternoon, there will be a conducted tour of the gardens and the opportunity to visit the Church, which houses the Brudenell tombs. The Church has recently reopened after extensive restoration to the roof and organ.
