Visit to West Park House & University House

This visit sees the hisoric houses of West Park House and University House. West Park House was originally built for one of the principal benefactors of Dundee's Art College Sir William Henderson and now houses works by John Phillip, David Foggie and John Thomson of Duddingston. Matthew Jarron, the curator of Museum Services of Dundee University will be our guide through both properties.
The Visit continues to University House, traditionally used as the Pricipal's Residence, where tea and biscuits will be served. The House, originally known as Elmslea, was built in the 1860s and became the home of two significant art collectors William Ritchie and John Roberston. The House contains an interesting collection of works including Raeburn, McTaggart, Cadell and John Duncan.
