In his latest book, Art Fund Trustee Christopher Lloyd writes about 266 masterpieces from c 1300 to the present day that can be seen in public collections in Great Britain and Ireland. Some are acknowledged greats, others are surprising or quirky, and all receive a rewarding account by Lloyd's pen.

His aim in this talk is to encourage others to visit the same places and experience the same pleasures.

Christopher Lloyd, a former Surveyor of the Queen's Pictures, has curated numerous exhibitions worldwide, and in 1992 made a six-part series on the paintings in the Royal Collection for British TV. He is President of NADFAS, a Governor of Gainsborough's House in Sudbury, and serves on the Exhibitions Committee of the Royal Academy.
