Jupiter Artland is an acclaimed contemporary sculpture garden set in the private grounds of Bonnington House. Works by many of today's leading artists have been commissioned and then constructed in situ amid the most wonderful woodland walks. Jupiter also has a charming little restaurant where we will have lunch before heading into Edinburgh. The National Portrait Gallery has put together 60 images of The Queen spanning six decades to celebrate Her Majesty's forthcoming diamond jubilee. They range from the controversial to the majestic - Gilbert and George to Annigoni.
Following our very successful trip to Dumfries House last year, we have decided to repeat the same sort of travel plans for this event: i.e. train to Edinburgh to be met by bus which will ferry us around and deposit us back at the station. Ticket cost for this trip will include admission to Jupiter Artland, the '60 Queens' and bus travel from Waverley station. The train costs and lunch will not be included in the price.
We will be able to give a better indication of the total cost once we know how many of you are interested.
