The Glasgow Lectures: 'Glasgow's Painters from 1800' and 'Mackintosh in his Glaswegian Context'

In preparation for the three day visit to Glasgow organised by the Durham and Cleveland Art Fund committee, Elizabeth Conran and Helen Toplis will give two lectures on 'Glasgow's Painters from 1800' and 'Mackintosh in his Glaswegian Context'. Elizabeth is the former curator of the Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle and is an expert on Scottish art, particularly of a Glaswegian origin. Helen is a freelance art historian and will be lecturing on Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Glaswegian architect, designer, and sculptor important in the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements.
