Soho House was the home of industrialist and entrepreneur Matthew Boulton from 1766 to 1809.  Boulton worked with architects James and Samuel Wyatt and furniture maker James Newton to create a fashionable and comfortable home which includes many items of Boulton’s own furniture and reflects his inventiveness in home comforts.  The Barber Institute will be showing an exhibition: Objects of Affection:  Pre-Raphaelite Portraits by John Brett.  Professor Ann Sumnner, Director of the Barber Institute and co-curator of the exhibition will give an introductory talk and a private view of the treasures behind the scene.  There will also be time to see the permanent collection.
