Lecture: Professor Pamela Robertson on James McNeill Whistler

Prof Pamela Robertson is Senior Curator of the Whistler and Mackintosh collections at the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, University of Glasgow. She will discuss the work of a man whose art challenged established conventions of painting; was acused of 'flinging a pot of paint in the public's face'; and had a reputation for bon mots equal to that of Oscar Wilde.
