Prof Pamela Robertson is Senior Curator of the
Whistler and Mackintosh collections at the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery,
University of Glasgow. She will discuss the work of a man whose art challenged
established conventions of painting; was acused of 'flinging a pot of paint in
the public's face'; and had a reputation for bon mots equal to that of
Oscar Wilde.
