Join us in the lovely Reynolds Room for an illustrated lecture about the spectacular show currently on view at the Royal Academy. Highlighting the splendours of the Byzantine Empire, the exhibition features hundreds of precious objects – mosaics, ivories, enamels, gold and silver metalwork – some of which have never been seen in public before. Works from the San Marco Treasury in Venice are on display, along with rare items from collections across Europe, the USA, Russia, Ukraine and Egypt. Please note Tickets for this members’ event do not include entry to the exhibition Byzantium 330–1453. Admission to the exhibition is 10 for Art Fund members, and free to Royal Academy members (plus a friend). Exhibition tickets may be purchased on the day.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, to book call: 0870 050 3688
