Lecture at Plymouth City Museum and Gallery

Sculptor Peter Randall-Page will talk about how public art is commissioned in the United Kingdom and abroad, and will describe the challenges faced by an artist when fulfilling these commissions.

Peter studied sculpture at Bath Academy o Art from 1973-77 and during the past 25 years he has gained an international reputation through his sculpture drawings and prints. He has undertaken numerous large scale commissions and he has exhibited widely. His work is held in many collections throughout the world, including Japan, South Korea and the USA, and his public sculptures can also be found in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and in the permanent collections of the Tate Gallery and the British Museum, amongst others.

The lecture will take place in the South Gallery and drinks will be served prior to the talk.
