Sezincote is an early 19th century house in the Indian manner which was the inspiration for the Brighton Pavilion. It is built in golden stone in the Moghul manner. The interior is purely classical. The lovely garden is also influenced by Moghul designs. Stanway is a complete contrast. It is a romantic Jacobethan manor house in a beautiful setting on the Cotswold Scarp, with a recently restored baroque water garden. Those who came on our previous visit will now be able to see the latter in full working order, including the 70ft high fountain. Lunch will be included.
