Tim Clark, Head of the Japanese Section, will lead a private tour of the newly reopened Japanese Galleries. The museum's collections of Japanese materials are the most comprehensive in Europe, including fine and decorative arts, antiquities, and ethnographic and historical items. The visit will culminate with a chance to enjoy a major new acquisition purchased with Art Fund support, Tigers Crossing a River, c1781-2, a six-fold screen painting by Maruyama Okyo and pupils.
