The Crow Down Hoard comprises five exquisitely fashioned gold ornaments (bracelets and armlets) found on the Lambourn Downs in West Berkshire in 2004.

They are the most significant find of prehistoric metalwork ever made in the region. Crown Down is a short distance from the Ridgeway, a strategic route in the Bronze Age, and the Lambourn Seven Barrows, a group of more than 35 separate barrows containing evidence of Bronze Age burials.

Provenance

Discovered on the Lambourn Downs in West Berkshire by a metal detectorist and declared Treasure in 2004.
