This intricate work comprises 312 separate gelatin silver prints assembled in a photographic montage of the Forth Bridge, one of Scotland's iconic architectural structures.

Each print is taken from a 35mm film shot by Appelt from the adjacent Forth Road Bridge. The composition of the work uses metrical sequences derived from mathematics and music.
