This terminal is the missing part of the Sedgeford Torc which was found in 1965 and acquired by the British Museum.
This terminal appears to have been held fast in the ground while the rest of the object was caught by the plough or harrow. The terminal has moulded raised La Tene (early Celtic) decoration of trumpet voids and circles, highlighted with pellets and cold hammering.
Provenance
Discovered by a metal detector user in Sedgeford, Norfolk and declared Treasure in 2004.
