The work consists of eight massive carved figures arranged in a procession across a marble floor.

The leading male figure carries a ram's head on a pole and represents the shaman or demagogue. The other figures follow him, glancing at their companions with expressions of fear, excitement and suspicion. Pacheco explores the relationship between the group and the individual and the psychology of political power.
