Silver Studio was a commercial design practice which designed schemes for furnishing fabrics, wallpapers, tablecovers, rugs and carpets.

This machine printed textile was probably a sample of one sold to Stead McAlpin, an important contract printer of high quality textiles for retailers such as Liberty. The length of bobble fringe had been used as trimming.
