Memorial to Francis Musters by Caius Gabriel Cibber

He is shown with long flowing hair, and wearing clerical or scholarly dress, kneeling on a cushion, with a book resting on a skull, crowned by two hovering winged putti holding palm fronds. The sculpture is likely to date from soon after his death in 1680. There is an accompanying slate inscription tablet which records his birth and death dates and the names of his parents, as well as a prayer.

Parish church of St Mary, Hornsey, Middlesex; storage from 1927; sold in 1970's; C.A & J.E. Finch.
