The artist decided to mix several printing techniques, a porcelain object representing an icile and a photograph documenting how this mould was produced.

In an unconventional way, Trockel has mixed dark aquatint plates together with heavily bitten plates showing photomechanically transferred and enlarged details of topographical maps, imitating snow drifts. The ceramic object is a cast of an icicle found in the Engadine.
