The two strapends are cast and roughly oval with moulded details on the top and bottom.

At the top they have split ends with rivet holes, of which three of the four rivets survive. The central spaces have Trewhiddle style animals against nielloed backgrounds. There are animal head terminals.

Found with a metal detector in Upper Poppleton, York in 2001. Declared Treasure 2002.
