The rectangular stand has rounded corners mounted on scrollwork and shell feet festooned with grapes.

The stand has two two fluted pots with a taper stick formed as a palm tree in the middle. The bodies of the pots are mounted on scrollwork and shell feet with sprays of oak leaves. The ends of the stand are embossed with the Royal Arms of Great Britain and the arms of Viscount Castlereagh. This work was acquired with assistance from the Wolfson Foundation.
