A collection of 112 watercolours including 53 works by Thomas Rowlandson, 22 by Samuel Howitt and 37 by other contemporary hands.

They present an invaluable record of the topography and buildings of the Isle of Wight and are the result of at least 2 tours by the artists. The work depicted is 'The quarter-deck of a Lymington passage boat' by Rowlandson.
