Wilkinson was a Quaker and minor poet and writer who was well connected with Burke, Clarkson, Wordsworth and Coleridge. He is best known for inspiring lines in Wordsworth poem 'The Solitary Reaper'.

Opening times

We are now closed until spring 2020 to complete the final stages of our National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported redevelopment project, Reimagining Wordsworth. Our shop will remain open; in November and December the shop opening hours will be Friday-Tuesday, 11.00am-4.00pm.
