Axeheads are decorated with designs made up of a complex array of geometric and curvilinear motifs.

Provenance

Found in Hungary, 19th century AD; Talbot Ready; General Pitt Rivers; possibly sold by Mrs Stella Pitt Rivers after WWII; passed through the collection of Lord McAlpine during 1980s.
