Cup stands on a raised circular foot with a flattened rim with a wide spool-shaped stem with a plain knob.
The bell shaped bowl with everted lip is engraved with a crest, motto & coronet of the Countess of Sutherland.

Bought for St Andrew's Church of Scotland and sold by them at Christie's (SK) 29/6/99.
