Mostly mid-eighteenth century, some with contemporary cases.

The finest example is a chicken-skin leaf painted with Alexander and Diogenes, the reverse with villas in a landscape, signed F P Valori, Rome, 1740. Part of a gift to five museums by Richmond Inglis Cochrane through the Art Fund between 1995 and 1997.
