Each end panel has a figure of a saint, and the rear of the roof has a star pattern. All the figures are surrounded by coloured enamel work in shades of blue, red, yellow and green. This reliquary has a relatively simple and conservative iconography.

Provenance

Found at Brooke Priory, Rutland, c.1805; exhibited locally 1861, described 1880s. Sotheby, 2 Dec 1969, lot 17; 13 Nov 1975, lot 10.
