The glass is of a type of lattimo (opaque white).

Part of a group, generally considered to be one of the finest examples of 18th century Venetian glass work. Decorated with a view of SS Giovanni e Paolo, Venice.

Provenance

Henry Fiennes Clinton (1720-94). Dukes of Newcastle (Clumber); sold 1937. Robert Charleston. (in memory of the late Robert Charleston).
