A burse panel of crimson velvet worked in purl wire, gold and silver-wrapped threads with the Elizabethan Royal cypher in raised work.


Made around 1596 for Sir Thomas Egerton; given to Henry Jones, one of Egerton's servants; bought at auction in 1880s (?)
