1) Portrait of a Young Man, originally attributed to Hans Holbein the Younger, now however it is given instead to his tragically short-lived older brother, Ambrosius.

As this work reveals, Ambrosius treats his portraits with great sensitivity and refinement. Presumably this piece was intended to be a finished work of art rather than a study for a painting. 2) Design with images of Lot and his Daughters, Intoxication of Noah and Judith and Holofernes in a Renaissance frame.

Provenance

Collection of Thomas Kerrich.
