This group of 11 watercolours and drawings of English, Scottish and Welsh subjects forms part part of an important public gift in the memory of Lady Sadler by Sir Michael Sadler, a member of the Executive Committee of the Art Fund in 1931.

It takes the form of a collection of pictures and drawings, together with some objects of Oriental art. 1) Refectory by Cotman (main illustration); 2) Westminster by Cox; 3-5) Looking East from Calton Hill, Edinburgh; Arthur's Seat; Cottage near Edinburgh by Leitch; 6) South Kensington by Bone; 7-9) Penmaenmawr; Near Leeds; Near Masborough by Holmes; 10) The Severn by Steer; 11) Poplars by DS Maccoll.
