Draped figure, left hand holds a cornucopia which serves as a candleabra.

Calm, unruffled pose characteristic of that reaction to baroque which came about in Venetian sculpture in the early 18th century. For this, Gai is best known for the bronze gates of the Loggetta. Destination for this angel is not known, but clearly a candlestick for an altar.
