This torc is made from a single strand of gold wire about 2 mm in thickness and originally about 3 feet long.

This strand was doubled back on itself to give the appearance of a double strand, and it was then twisted rope fashion. The two ends were left untwisted and fashioned into double loops about a third of an inch in diameter. The single joint can be discerned about midway along the twisted section. The final stage consisted of bending the ornament into penannular form for use as a neck ornament.
