The village of Uffington is seen to the right and the town of Shrewsbury can be seen beyond the River Severn, with Broom Hall clearly visible on the town walls. In the background is Long Mountain and Breidden Hill. The other painting depicts a view from Broom Hall including a view of Council House Chambers and the Terrace leading down to the River Severn in the foreground. In the middle distance we can see Shrewsbury Abbey, the White Hall, and the Stone Bridge.
