Sir George Pocock joined the Navy in 1718 is depicted wearing a flag officer's uniform of a dark blue coat and white waistcoat with blue braid.

Pocock was in command in the East Indies from 1757 to 1759. He became Admiral of the Blue and a Knight of Bath in 1761. The following year he captured Havanna, the crowning achievement of his career.
