Cast and then chiselled with designs including a series of medallions with Celtic curves and knotwork of interlacing lacertine creatures. The settings are now empty but were originally filled with crystals or other stones. This work was donated by Henry Oppenheimer, who presented over 30 works to the British Museum through the Art Fund between 1907 and 1933.
