A double portrait in a carved and gilded Rococo frame. Inscribed with the sitters' names: The Honble Lady Stanhope' and 'Kathe: Counts: of Effingham'.

Lady Stanhope, from whom it passed (presumably on her death in 1812) to her sister Lady Mexborough; by descent to the present Earl of Mexborough.
