The only piece of domestic furniture designed by James Gibbs to be identified.
Possibly made by John Gumley. The original bevelled octagonal mirror plate is framed by a broad moulded surround enriched by acanthus, the cresting centres rest on a fronded shell with husk pendants; the apron retains the original cast and chased candle arms.
