This hoard of seven copper and silver coins was found at Creich in the Scottish Highlands.

The hoard includes a 1585 sixpence, a Charles I shilling and two coins from the Spanish Netherlands. It is thought the coins might have belonged to a Continental merchant, or may have been dropped by a mercenary soldier. They now join the collection at Tain Museum as an illustration of the connections between the north of Scotland and Continental Europe during the 17th century.
