This gold bracteate (neck pendant) was found buried together with a fragment of a second gold pendant and a silver brooch at Binham, Norfolk.
The Binham Bracteate, the sixth found on the site, features a decorative stamp of a sword-wielding man in battle with a mythological creature. Fewer than 1,000 bracteates are known, most found in Scandinavia.

Found by metal-detector as part of a controlled excavation in Binham, recorded with Portable Antiquities Scheme as NMS-D18CC1.
