This high-quality hooked tag matches an example already in the collection of the Whitchurch Heritage Centre.

The silver tags, which date from around the ninth century, were found within 100m of each other in a ploughed field near Prees, less than five miles from the centre. The surface is finely decorated with a Trewhiddle-style animal, an almost exact mirror image of the beast on the tagÂ’s matching partner.
