Figure of a Running Girl by Severo da Ravenna

This statuette, from which an attribute held in the right hand is missing, represents a very rare and delightful type of Renaissance minor sculpture, its powerful movement and extravagant counterpoise contrasting strongly with the austere and frigid classicism of the antique masters.
